Peninsula College recognizes the general duty to provide a safe and healthful workplace for its students, employees, and visitors, free of violence or the threat of violence.  

Workplace violence is defined as a direct or indirect threat, act, or conduct which may cause a reasonable person fear, or injury to a person or property, and which occurs on the college premises, or adversely affects college business.

Workplace violence and/or domestic violence that moves to the campus will not be tolerated.  Any employee who threatens, harasses or abuses someone in our workplace, or is on college premises using college resources, may be subject to corrective or disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.  If employees are arrested, convicted, or issued a permanent injunction against as a result of domestic violence and such action has a direct connection to the employee’s duties for the college corrective or disciplinary action may be taken.
